Spring 2023 Commander's Leadership Summit

Airmen sprint toward the finish line during the TSgt Lastes (WRATH 11) Memorial Run, March 30, 2023 at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. on March 31, 2005, Tech. Sgt. Glenn P. Lastes, an Albanian-speaking linguist and Direct Support Operator with the 25th Intelligence Squadron, Detachment 2, and eight other Airmen perished in the crash of their MC-130H (call sign WRATH 11) during a training mission in Albania. Lastes was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery (Section 60, Site 7958). His name appears on the WRATH 11 memorial located at the 7th Special Operations Squadron, RAF Mildenhall, UK, on a memorial marker at Arlington National Cemetery honoring the crew of WRATH 11 (Section 60, Site 8238), and on the Combat Talon Memorial at Hurlburt Field's Heritage Park, Fla. Sergeant Lastes is recognized on the Memorial Wall at the 363 ISRW headquarters at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., and in the Hall of Honor located at Sixteenth Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. A conference room in the 361 ISRG headquarters building at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and Detachment 2's building at RAF Mildenhall are dedicated in his honor. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
