AFTAC hosts Scouts for Nuclear Science Merit Badge

Two boy scouts from Central Florida work on creating a 3-D model of an element and its isotopes using colorful jellied candies and toothpicks. The boys were two of 91 scouts and trailblazers who came to Patrick Space Force Base, Fla., to earn the coveted Nuclear Science Merit Badge with the assistance of volunteers from the Air Force Technical Applications Center, the Department of Defense’s sole nuclear treaty monitoring center.
