  • Department of the Air Force launches Family Vector website

    The Department of the Air Force launched a new website today, giving Exceptional Family Member Program families direct access to decision-making information related to medical programs, assignments or other support resources. Service and family members can now obtain information without using a Common Access Card at the DAF Family Vector site at https://daffamilyvector.us.af.mil. There are several other platforms available for service members, but all require the CAC.
  • CMSAF Bass part of AETC virtual mentorship ‘Panel of Mentors’ May 25; registration open now

    Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne Bass, along with other senior enlisted leaders, will share her personal perspective on mentoring and the impact it has made on her personal life and career as part of virtual panel May 25. Registration for “From Good to Great through Personal Perspectives:  A Panel of Mentors” is now open. To register for the event and get the ZoomGov link, email HQAETC.A1DF.CivForceDev@us.af.mil.  Registration closes May 21 and is limited to 1000 people.
  • 319th Reconnaissance Wing brings new ISR capabilities to II Marine Expeditionary Force

    Pilots and sensor operators from 348th Reconnaissance Squadron provided RQ-4 Global Hawk support to II Marine Expeditionary Force’s 2nd Intelligence Battalion’s field exercise February 2021, held at Bouge, North Carolina.
  • ADLS training transitions to “myLearning” in first step for new force development learning management system

    As part of Air Education and Training Command’s efforts to aggressively and cost-effectively modernize education and training, Airmen and Guardians can access the “myLearning” digital platform on the Air Force Portal beginning March 18, with the first phase consisting of a modernized and interactive training platform that allows Airmen to access training modules previously found on the Advanced Distributed Learning Service (ADLS).

  • Transition to Lincoln starts with first aircraft arrival

    Normally a 55th Wing OC-135 Open Skies aircraft landing and taxiing to its parking spot is no a big deal, but this particular landing on Feb. 1, 2021, was unlike any other. This flight was Offutt Air Force Base’s first aircraft arrival to the Lincoln Airport, where the 55th Wing and its mission partners will operate all flying operations from for the next 18 months as contractors replace the base’s runway.
  • Air Force announces Airmen leadership qualities

    The Airman leadership qualities are expected to form the basis for the future officer and enlisted performance reporting systems. The alignment between evaluating units and evaluating Airmen is intended to further emphasize and accelerate an understanding and adoption of the associated leadership qualities.
