Colonel Chantel M. Booker

Colonel Chantel M. Booker is the Deputy Commander, 688th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The Wing is comprised of more than 3,300 Airmen across four groups with 26 units at 15 locations worldwide. Colonel Booker ensures the readiness and employment of Airmen to engineer, build, operate, secure, defend and extend classified and unclassified networks through the employment of four cyberspace weapon systems and various engineering and expeditionary capabilities. She delivers resilient and integrated cyber infrastructure in garrison and deployed environments, directing the training, mobilization and deployment of Airmen, communications and computer systems to enable the combat effectiveness of combatant commanders, joint task forces and Air Force component headquarters contingency operations.

Col Booker was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and graduated in December 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. She has over 21 years of active duty experience in cyberspace operations and has served in electronic systems, command, control, communication, computers for intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR), nuclear command, control and communications (NC3), cyber and information warfare positions. Prior to her current position, she was the Current Operations Division Chief, 16th Air Force, JBSA-Lackland, Texas. Col Booker is married to Justin Booker and has two children, Logan and Delilah.
