Chief Master Sergeant FRANCES J. PERKINS

CMSgt Frances J. Perkins is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 70th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing, Fort George G. Meade, Md. America’s Cryptologic Wing conducts signals intelligence and cybersecurity missions to inform national leaders, combatant commanders, air component commanders, and combat forces that enable air, space and cyberspace operations. The Wing also provides installation support services to more than 10,000 Airmen and dependents assigned to Fort Meade. Chief Perkins is the advisor to the commander on all matters influencing the health, welfare, morale, and proper utilization of 6,200 Total Force Airmen organized into 6 Groups, 23 Squadrons, and 3 Detachments across 28 worldwide locations.

Chief Perkins was raised with an Air Force background residing at various locations in the United States and overseas. She entered the Air Force in September 1998 as an honor graduate of her basic training flight. In November 1998, she completed Computer Systems Operations technical training. As a communicator, she has experienced Help Desk, System Administration, Network Security, Boundary Protection, as well as Flight Chief, Superintendent, and Senior Enlisted Leader roles. She served in joint assignments with the National Security Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, and Joint Force Headquarters – Department of Defense Information Network. She has deployed to Southwest Asia in support of operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM. Prior to her current position, the Chief was the Command Senior Enlisted Leader, National Security Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) Texas in San Antonio, Texas.
