Colonel ABRAHAM D. SALOMON, JR.

Col Abraham D. Salomon, Jr., is the Deputy Commander, 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. He assists in directing the worldwide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations of six ISR groups, supporting Combatant Commanders, Combined Forces Air Component Commanders, Numbered Air Force commanders and coalition forces.  The Wing is a total force enterprise composed of more than 6,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel.

Col Salomon enlisted in the Air Force on April 8, 1991, and his career spanned two specialties as a Reprographics Specialist and Imagery Analyst. In May 2000, Col Salomon was commissioned through the Officer Training School program. A career intelligence officer, he has held a variety of positions while assigned to numerous operational, staff, and joint assignments in Asia, the Middle East and the U.S.  Moreover, Col Salomon has provided direct support to numerous contingency operations to include OPERATION ALLIED FORCE and OPERATION DESERT FOX, and deployed in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.

Prior to his current assignment, Col Salomon was the Deputy Director, Readiness and Talent Management Directorate, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR), & Cyber Effects Operations (CEO), Headquarters United States Air Force, the Pentagon, Virginia.
