Colonel Michael D. Provins

Col Michael D. Provins is the Deputy Commander, 363d Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He assists the Wing Commander in leading the Air Force’s content dominant, all-source analysis and full spectrum targeting enterprises for Combined Forces Air Component Commanders worldwide and airborne ISR for sensitive joint special operations globally.

Col Provins enlisted in the Air Force as an Engineer Assistant in 1994 before earning his commission in 2001 from the U.S. Air Force Academy. As an intelligence officer he has served in a variety of positions spanning tactical to strategic echelons: squadron, group, air operations center, Numbered Air Force, Major Command, and Geographic Combatant Command. Additionally, he has deployed five times supporting Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, JOINT FORGE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and with a Joint Special Operations Forces Regional Task Force. He commanded the 724th Intelligence Squadron leading selectively screened personnel providing full-spectrum analysis to reconnaissance, strike, and recovery missions as part of the 724th Special Tactics Group.

Prior to his current position, Col Provins served as the Director of Intelligence, Special Operations Command - Korea and the Deputy Director of Intelligence, Combined Special Operations Component Command (U.S./Korea).
