Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force LORENDA M. WONG Chief Master Sergeant Lorenda M. Wong is the Command Chief, 688th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio– Lackland, Texas. In this capacity, she leads more than 3,300 military, civilian and contract personnel responsible for building, operating, securing, extending and defending communications networks through the execution of four cyberspace weapon systems, to include engineering and expeditionary capabilities. Her team deploys and delivers survivable and resilient cyber infrastructure, deployed and in-garrison, and integrates communications and computer systems designed to increase combat effectiveness. Chief Wong also serves as the principal advisor to the commander on all military readiness, training, morale, quality of life, professional development, and effective utilization of resources. Chief Wong enlisted in the Air Force October 1, 2003 as a Cyber Systems Operations Technician. She served in multiple capacities as a Cyber Systems Operations Technician, Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge, and Section Chief, as well as assignments as a group-level inspection team member and Unit Deployment Manager. She has completed an overseas tour in Guam and has deployed three times in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.
