Chief Master Sergeant Jonathan M. Davenport Chief Master Sgt. Jonathan M. Davenport is the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The wing is global in nature and spans the full spectrum of ISR operations, maintaining a comprehensive set of capabilities including Lead Wing designation for the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), as well as national cryptologic, information technology, tactical analysis, Combined/Joint Forces Air Component Commander (C/JFACC)-support, and national-to-tactical signals intelligence (SIGINT) integration. The wing utilizes a problem-centric, sensor-agnostic approach to provide exploitation-fueled analysis in support of priority theater intelligence problems by leveraging the best available data and mastering analytic tradecraft to attack complex problems. In his role, Chief Davenport serves as the principal enlisted advisor to the Commander on all issues regarding operational readiness, mission effectiveness, professional development, morale, and welfare of the Air Force’s largest ISR wing, with over 5,400 military, civilian, and contractor personnel across the globe, spanning six groups, twenty-four squadrons, four detachments, and seven operating locations. Additionally, 2,300 Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Airmen across 11 states take operational direction from the wing, creating a total force integration force presentation of over 7,700 mission capable and operationally focused ISR, cyber, and support professionals. Chief Master Sgt. Davenport was born in Greenville, North Carolina and entered the Air Force in July of 2005. He has served in a number of challenging positions in the Security Forces and Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Operator career fields. His most significant assignments have included DAGRE Team Leader, Combat Aviation Advisor, and Tactical Systems Operator Instructor/Evaluator. He has flown missions aboard U-28, BE-350, MC-12W, C-208, and CN-235 aircraft, with multiple deployments to CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, and AFRICOM. His duty locations have included bases in the Republic of Korea, Florida, Oklahoma, Data Masked, California, and Virginia. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 311th Training Squadron, at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC), Presidio of Monterey, California.
