16th Air Force (AFCYBER) Public Affairs

Media Relations

Our media relations team facilitates engagement and two-way communication with external media. All media queries and requests for interviews must be coordinated through the 16th Air Force (Air Forces Cyber) Public Affairs Office and may be submitted via email to 16AF.PA.MediaOps@us.af.mil.

For both, media queries and interview requests, provide your full name, your news organization, and desired response date/time along with your specific question(s).

Community Outreach

The community outreach team works to put you, the community, in touch with your U.S. Air Force to hear from the Airmen who make the mission happen.

Speaking engagements and official public appearances by Airmen help increase public awareness and understanding of the people and mission.

Our Speakers Bureau is comprised of outstanding, professional, well-spoken military members and DoD civilians, from a variety of backgrounds, who represent the diversity of the U.S. Military.

If you are interested in having one of our speakers at your event, please complete the Community Outreach Request Form.

Please note, completion of this form does not confirm or guarantee approval or support. Mission requirements may preclude an approved request, and a scheduled appearance may be cancelled on short notice.

Requesting Photo Support

Submit official PA photo support requests to https://safpa.appianportalsgov.com/request at least 10 duty days in advance. Be sure to select the 16/PA as the Servicing Team. Advance notice provides PA the ability to ensure the necessary equipment and personnel are available. Failure to coordinate in advance will reduce the likelihood that the event can receive PA support.

Marquee Requests

The 16AF Public Affairs Office manages the electronic marquees located on Security Hill at JBSA-Lackland to announce time-sensitive and recurring information to base members.

Members must submit a marquee request form at least one week before the post date, but no more than four weeks before. To submit a marquee request please visit https://safpa.appianportalsgov.com/request

Messages are limited to welcome messages for distinguished visitors, announcing base-wide events, and retirement messages for general officers and above, force protection condition and weather alerts.

The marquee will not be used to promote fundraising or to display items or services for sale.

The marquee will not display commercial advertisements, political messages or any non-mission essential messages.

Marquee messages that take up more than one frame will not be authorized. QR codes and website addresses cannot be posted for safety concerns.
