AFTAC scientists tour Astrotech facility to see satellite payload

Members of the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base, Fla., get an up-close view of their payload aboard the Department of Defense’s Space Test Program Satellite 6, or STPSat-6 at Astrotech's Titusville, Fla., facility. Once operational, the spacecraft will deploy two U.S. Space Force technology demonstration satellites into a geosynchronous orbit more than 22,000 miles above the earth that will be used to advance warfighting capabilities in the areas of nuclear detonation detection, space domain awareness, and communication.
