Students from Hampton High School attend the Explosive Ordnance Disposal booth, during the STEM Day event, May 5, 2023 at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. Students were able to visit more than 30 STEM exhibitors, enhancing their exploration into the worlds of science, technology, engineering, and math. This exposure is critical in fostering curiosity, enhancing creativity, and encouraging critical thinking. Some of those exhibits included Virginia Air & Space Center, Mad Science of Hampton Roads, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Civil Air Patrol, NASA eClips and JBLE Youth STEM Trailer. This visit served as a Project Quesada engagement, an Air Combat Command-led program designed to attract and recruit talented students seeking careers in aviation, science, technology, engineering, and math to develop future aviators and leaders.
