39-year-old-PhD arrives at AFTAC

Airman 1st Class Ryan Miskowiec, a Scientific Applications Specialist at the Air Force Technical Applications Center, the Department of Defense’s sole nuclear treaty monitoring center, poses for a photo while taking a break from his seismic analysis duties for the 22nd Surveillance and Analysis Squadron. The 39-year-old Ph.D., who is also a former college professor, is enjoying his life as an active duty Airman. “I’ve always felt drawn to the military, and the Air Force in particular. It helped having several generations of men in my family who have served in some capacity as influencers,” said Miskowiec. (U.S. Air Force photo by Matthew S. Jurgens)
