Three of U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Nicole Favuzza, 70th Operations Support Squadron senior enlisted leader, Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 medals sit on display, Oct. 27, at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. Representing Team U.S. during the games, Favuzza competed in track, field, cycling, swimming, and indoor rowing events, earning two gold, silver, and bronze medals each. The games welcomed around 500 competitors from 21 nations and believes in empowering individuals to reclaim their sense of purpose, identity, and future, transcending the boundaries of their injuries.
