Janet Petro, Director of Kennedy Space Center, delivers her keynote address to the audience at the 2024 Women in Science and Engineering Symposium March 12 at the Space Coast Health Foundation in Rockledge, Fla. Petro spoke about her journey from a student at Satellite High School in Brevard County, Fla., to graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, to ultimately becoming the top leader at KSC. The WiSE Symposium, hosted by the Air Force Technical Applications Center, is an annual event that encourages young women to pursue careers in science and technology.
