AFTAC hosts Student Expo in conjunction with WiSE Symposium

2nd Lt. Piper Gray (left), a laboratory scientist with the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base, Fla., demonstrations the effects of liquid nitrogen on gummy bears during the center’s annual Women in Science and Engineering Symposium March 13, 2024, as eager students from the local community look on. The symposium’s Student Expo gave attendees the chance to engage with inspiring science, technology, engineering and math leaders, ask questions, advance mentorship opportunities, network with other students, participate in hands-on activities, and enter into STEM team-building competitions.
