In observance of the Holocaust Days of Remembrance from April 4-11, Joint Base San Antonio is providing a virtual presentation to include a poster and presentation.

This year’s theme is “Acknowledge, Preserve, Honor” and pays tribute to the military photographers who played a crucial role in documenting evidence of Nazi atrocities and the Holocaust.

Holocaust Remembrance Day was April  8 and is observed each year during the week of remembrance that runs from the Sunday before Holocaust Remembrance Day, known as Yom Hashoah, through the following Sunday.

In commemoration of Days of Remembrance, Joint Base San Antonio is displaying the Days of Remembrance poster across Joint Base San Antonio.  Posters will be displayed at all JBSA libraries, as well as Arnold Hall Community Center, JBSA-Lackland, and at the Military and Family Readiness Centers at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston and JBSA-Randolph.

Additionally, an information table will be displayed at the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence Holocaust Remembrance Day Observance at noon April 15 at the Donald Evans Auditorium on Garden Avenue in building 1396 at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston. The event is hosted by 187th Medical Battalion, 32nd Medical Brigade.

Visitors to these locations are encouraged to follow COVID-19 health and safety measures, including practicing physical distancing.
