Colonel PATRICK WOLVERTON

Colonel Patrick Wolverton is the Deputy Commander, 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. He assists in directing the worldwide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations of six ISR groups, supporting Combatant Commanders, Combined Forces Air Component Commanders, Numbered Air Force commanders and coalition forces. The Wing is a total force enterprise composed of more than 6,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel.

Colonel Wolverton was commissioned through AFROTC at the University of Delaware in May 2002. He is an intelligence officer with experience ranging across air, space, and cyberspace operations at the tactical, operational, and national levels.

He is a graduate of the Intelligence Weapons Instructor Course, a graduate of the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and a graduated Air Force Fellow for the Director of the National Security Agency. He served as the Director of Operations for the Geospatial Intelligence Analysis Squadron at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and was dual hatted as both the Squadron Commander of the 303rd Intelligence Squadron and the Chief of the Osan Mission Center, Osan AB. He deployed and provided intelligence support to combat search and rescue missions in Afghanistan, and multiple tours to the 609th Air and Space Operations Center at Al Udeid AB, supporting Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and NEW DAWN. Prior to assuming his current position, he was the Chief of the Readiness Division, Intelligence Directorate, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis.
