SCCDs are experienced developers who have demonstrated the ability to perform the full range of capability development. SCCDs have achieved a set of senior core CCD requirements and a specialization (e.g., Unix persistence, Unix access, Windows persistence, Windows access, etc.).  

Qualification for SCCD is achieved through completion of the Joint Senior CCD Job Qualification Record (JQR) which includes a performance exam. 

SCCD Duties Include: 

• Design technical solutions. 

• Defines the configuration management strategy for the product. 

• Validate the quality of the product. 

• Validate that acceptance criteria are met 

• Updates and maintains the Test Plan. 

• Conduct peer reviews to ensure code quality. 

• Oversee, train, mentor and review the work of Basic CCDs assigned to them.
