Colonel Jonathan M. French Colonel Jonathan M. French is the Commander, 67th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. In this role Colonel French leads more than 3,000 Airmen, civilians, and contract personnel across four operations groups with 19 squadrons at eight locations worldwide. He ensures the readiness and employment of Airmen to conduct network operations, defense, attack, and exploitation in service of the Air Force, combatant commands, and national agencies. The 67 CW develops, trains, exercises and tests information operations tactics, techniques and procedures; analyzes and mitigates U.S. cyberspace vulnerabilities; and integrates emerging information dominance capabilities for the warfighter. Operationally, the wing acts as Air Forces Cyber’s execution arm for generating, projecting, and sustaining combat power with the employment of the Network Attack System and the Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment/Hunt weapon systems. Colonel French earned his commission in 2005 following his graduation from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is a career cyber warfare officer with diverse experience spanning tactical network operations, joint capabilities integration, and operational planning. He has served in key operational roles, including deploying as a master air attack planner for Operation Iraqi Freedom and as the lead China Contingency Planner for United States Pacific Command. Additionally, his staff and leadership experience encompass assignments at the squadron, joint task force, and Headquarters Air Force levels, including serving as the senior executive officer for the Air Force Chief Information Officer at the Pentagon.
