Colonel Chantel M. Booker Col. Chantel M. Booker is Commander at the 688th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland (JBSA), Texas. In this role, she leads over 3,300 professional Airmen across three groups with 13 units at 10 locations worldwide. She ensures readiness and employment to build, operate, secure, defend and extend classified and unclassified networks through four cyberspace weapon systems and critical engineering and expeditionary capabilities. She delivers resilient and integrated cyber infrastructure in garrison as well as in deployed environments, directing the training, mobilization and deployment of Airmen and systems to enable Air Force, joint and coalition combat effectiveness. Col. Booker was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and graduated in December 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. She has over 24 years of active-duty experience in cyberspace operations and has served in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, electronic systems, nuclear command, control, and communications, and information warfare positions. Prior to her current position, she was the Deputy Director, Cyberspace Operations and Warfighting Communications, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Col. Booker is married to Justin Booker and has two children, Logan and Delilah.
