FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- 480th ISRW Airman found deceased in home Published Feb. 16, 2023 By 480th ISR Wing Public Affairs Office 480th ISR Wing JOINT BASE LANGLEY EUSTIS, Va. -- An active duty Airman from the 480th Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing passed away in his off-base residence in Hampton, Virginia, Feb. 7, 2023. The Airman has been identified as Staff Sgt. Alexander Merritt, 30th Intelligence Squadron, cryptologic supervisor. Staff Sgt. Alexander Merritt, 27, from Fullerton, California entered the Air Force in November 2017 and arrived at JBLE in September 2018. “We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our members and I know that pain is felt throughout the Wing,” said Col. Nathan Rusin, 480th ISRW commander. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sgt.
