The 557th Weather Wing recently hosted the 3rd Annual Captain Nathan Nylander Remembrance Ruck March. On the 15th anniversary of his ultimate sacrifice, the men and women of the 557 WW united to honor the legacy of their fallen teammate.

A Silver Star recipient, Capt. Nylander gave his life after selflessly returning to an active firefight to protect his fellow Airmen. To honor that legacy, participants took on a 5-kilometer route, sharing the burden of the ruck to remind one another that we never serve alone. (U.S. Air Force video by J.B. Artley)
